’Tis education forms the common mind: Just as the twig is bent, the tree’s inclined.
Alexander Pope, 1734
A Bent Twig is a Mills student or alumna whose family tree includes another Mills alumna. This year, we welcomed graduates from the Classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 to participate in our yearly photo roundup, whether in person or from afar. Photos 1-5 by Dana Davis.

It’s a question we’ve heard on a regular basis over the past year: What’s going to happen to the Quarterly? We are delighted to report that the Quarterly will continue to be published—in print form and online—and mailed to Mills alumnae/i four times a year, now and into the future. In addition, it will still be called the Mills Quarterly. The magazine is for you, and we will continue to endeavor to publish what you want to read. Look for an invitation to provide your feedback on the magazine in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, you are always welcome to share your thoughts at quarterly@mills.edu.
